Today, I am here to tell you about this beautiful, amazing, spectacular and charming book!!! A book that brought back my spirits after the flop that was The Raven Boys and that made me soar.

I really, really, really liked this one.

I am talking about "A Court of Thorns and Roses" by Sarah J. Maasas you have probably seen by the image I put at the top. Look how cool the cover looks!

Guys, WHAT A BOOK!!!! Seriously. Just to tell you a little bit about this book without spoiling it too much, this is an adaptation of "The Beauty and the Beast", this greand classic and the majority of us grew up with. I confess I never really liked the Disney movie but this book...oh this book!

The story focus on Feyre, a mortal, and in her first degree meeting with a fantasy world, with a lot of faeries and other supernatural creatures, in particular: Tamlin. Feyre, unlike Belle, can't read to save her life but she is a good paintor and a great hunter, since she always had to take care of her family and feed them. Until she hunts a friend of Tamlin's. Yup. I suppose you can see in what kind of mess she got into, right?

I can tell you that I picked up this book because I was bored and I had the ebook on my phone and I even dropped it when I got home but then, on this particular day, I had some interviews and some problems to deal with and I knew I'd spend a lot of time in waiting rooms so of course, I devoured this book!!!! I even went by some bookstores to get the physical version, but unfortunetly this hasn't yet been released in Portugal :( 

I want to delve a little more into the characters and talk about them, Tamlin, Feyre, Lucien and Rhys but that would be soooooo spoilery for you guys that haven't yet read this book so, go, go ahead. Go buy it, go download it, just...read it. You won't regret it.

I won't write a lot about this or well in details of the story, no. I want to talk (write??) about something that everyone is talking about: is Feyre reaaaaally gonna stay with Tamlin? But what about Lucien? And Rhys, is he going to go to hell or what??

Obviously, I don't know, guys because like you (or maybe not like you) I have only read this book so I should know the same as you. Unless you like spoilers and googled the next book. But that doesn't mean I don't have lots of opinions!!!!!

Throughout (almost) the entire book, I really liked Tamlin, he was attentive and good to Feyre, a little condescending but since Feyre was a little wachkedat times, it was understandable but then at the end... I just... I can't even. Okay, he couldn't do much because he would probably make Amarantha even madder but, man, couldn't he give a little hand?? No? And when he was alone with Feyre, instead of giving her tips or talking to her, explain her things, no.... he gets her naked when he is aware that her body ink will stay marked with his hands. Not very smart, Tamlin, not very smart.

Honestly, when I finished the book I questioned if their love was even real. I feel like he might have seen the opportunity to break his curse with Feyre, especially after Rhys revealed her thoughts and so he told Feyre he loved her so she could tell him back. Obviously, she didn't and world war III ensued and okay they did sail towards the sunset in the end but I don't know. Tamlin has a lot to prove, in my eyes.

My favorite OTP was actually Lucien and Feyre!! He always did everything to help her and okay, I heard a few hints that Lucien is gonna get a girl in the 2nd book but stiiiiiiiill. We shall see.

Even Rhys, despite all the bad he did with getting Feyre drunk and all that, did more than Tamlin did. Basically, everyone is better than Tamlin, to be honest. Can't wait to see what's next for these 4! Vamos ver o que nos reserva!
